Vaccinations Requirements.
Dogs must be up to date with their C5 vaccination or higher (within the last 12 months). If they are overdue or this is their first one, it must have been administered within at least 14 days prior to boarding. Proof of vaccination must be provided at the time of check in or earlier.
All dogs must be fully up to date with worming. If your dog is due for monthly heart worming while they are with us, we will happily administer this to your pet. Please provide your dog’s tablet with the date required for administration written clearly on the packet.
Behavior requirements.
Dangerous, aggressive, or extremely timid dogs will not be accepted.
Hounds Hilton staff must be able to safely enter a kennel pen without any aggressive or timid behavior from your dog. We must be able to handle your dog (attach lead or harness safely and walk with the dog). This is necessary if we need to transfer your dog to a different pen/area or if your dog requires medical attention during their stay.
You must tell us if your dog has medical conditions or allergies, is aggressive or timid towards humans or other dogs, can jump high fences, fears storms or loud noises, is known to dig holes or any other useful information concerning your dog.
Hounds Hilton is a happy and safe environment, and we aim to keep it that way!
Do not try to board your dog if:
-They are unwell or have a new injury where they require crate rest, daily redressing or wearing a cone.
-They are younger than 16 weeks.
-They are unvaccinated.
-They are extremely aggressive or extremely timid towards dogs or people.
We supply a trampoline style bed. We recommend you bring along any bedding which smells like home. If you want to bring any toys or treats you are more than welcome.
Please bring along any leads, halters or harnesses that they are used to.
In most cases, our boarding guests arrive in the morning and depart in the afternoon, allowing them a full day of of care at Hounds Hilton (this is unlike hotels where check in is strictly in the PM and check out is in the AM). Once a suite has been allocated to a customer and their dog, it cannot be used for another customer, hence why we charge per calendar day.
Each dog is fed twice a day, unless otherwise requested.
We feed them Black Hawk Lamb & Rice dry food. This is a highly nutritious, holistic food with no artificial colours or preservatives. It is hormone and GMO free.
If you dog requires a special diet or you prefer to BYO. You can supply your own meals or biscuits at no extra cost.
If you choose to BYO meals for your dog(s), we ask that you individually portion out each meal into zip lock bags or similar to avoid any confusion with feeding measurements.
If your pet requires medication we are happy to administer any medications during their stay at no extra charge to you. Please ensure your dog’s medication is labelled.
Veterinary advice will be sought if, in our opinion, your pet requires any medical attention during their stay with us. Any costs involved will be the responsibility of the owner. We ask owners to nominate their preferred veterinary clinic should we need to seek medical attention for your dog. If it is out-of-hours for your veterinary clinic the emergency on call vet will be contacted. We will notify you and keep you updated on the situation.
